Dr Rahul Mirchandani, Executive Director, Aries Agro

Dr Rahul Mirchandani is the Executive Director of Aries Agro Limited, an Indian Multinational company in the business of manufacturing of specialty plant nutritional solutions. Winner of the 2011, 2012 & 2013 Inc India Awards for the 500 fastest growing mid-size companies in India, 2013 Inc India Innovative 100 Award for the 100 most innovative Indian companies under the categories of product design and responsible business, 2008 CNBC Emerging India Award in the FMCG, Food and Agribusiness Sector and the 2010 Brand Innovator Award, Aries is consistently recognized among India’s best-in-class companies with 85 brands in the niche plant nutrition industry selling at 90,000 retail outlets across India and also in 11 countries globally.

Rahul holds a Doctorate in Management Studies and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds an MBA from the University of Canberra, Australia. Rahul has delivered sessions on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Oxford University, UK and has lectured at over 50 B-Schools in India. A Past National Chairman of CII’s Young Indians he is the architect of Yi’s Farmers Net program and has served on the CII Agriculture, Innovation, International Policy and India@75 National Councils. He has been the Chairman for the Yi’s Next Practices platform and has also chaired Yi’s International Relations and Partnerships, playing a key role in connecting Yi with 28 Youth organisations globally.

Rahul was the President of the Indian Delegation at the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit in France, the Chair of the G20 YEA Governance Committee and is the Founder of the Commonwealth-Asia Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAAYE). He is the recipient of the Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Shakti Award 2010 in recognition of outstanding achievements towards Youth Empowerment and Inclusive Growth. Recognized as one of the world’s foremost achievers in his field, Rahul is listed in the Who’s Who in the World 2013 and is a Fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network’s India Leadership Initiative.

Bhairavi Jani, Executive Director, SCA Group

Bhairavi is a fourth-generation entrepreneur, a development enthusiast, and an avid venture philanthropist with a firm belief in creating livelihood opportunities through entrepreneurial ecosystems. Currently, she is the Executive Director at SCA Group of Companies, where she manages new projects, joint ventures, CSR, leadership development and strategic alliances for the entire group.

Bhairavi has served as Executive Director for India@75, an initiative for realizing the dream of an inclusive, sustainable and developed India by the year 2022. Prior to joining the SCA Group, she founded a fourth-party logistics company and successfully brought it to scale.In addition to being an India Leadership Initiative Fellow, she is a member of the National Committee of India@75 Foundation Trust as well as the Aspen Global Leadership Network, the board director of the Meghalaya Enterprise Institute, and a founding member and former National Chairman of Young Indians, CII.

Listed as one of the 30 most Powerful Women in India by the India Today publication in 2010, Bhairavi holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with Magna Cum Laude from Miami University, Ohio, and has completed the MyGlobe Executive Education Programme at INSEAD in France. She lives in Mumbai, India where she recently completed a 51- day learning journey driving 18181 kms across 102 locations in India and visiting 25 states to gather information on peoples' choices and views for livelihood and development.

Dr.Abhijit Sharma



Dr.Abhijit Sharma is an Associate Professor with the Indian Institute of Bank Management. Prof. Sharma's area of involvement in the institute has been in training, research and consultancy in areas ranging from Rural and Urban Development to Microfinance to IT for Banks. Prof. Sharma is currently heading Centre for Microfinance Research, North East Region. This is one of the five centers being sponsored by NABARD and is involved in research related to microfinance for the North East Region.

He has completed his Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from the Centre for Environmental Planning, (CEPT), School of Planning and Architecture, Ahmedabad and also has a M.Sc in Geography from MSU, Baroda.

He has also been involved in several research studies with national level institutions like NABARD, SA-DHAN and Microsave in areas of microfinance and rural non-farm sector. He is a resource person to a host lot of institutions including National Institute of Rural Development, National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development, Tata Institute of Social Sciences etc,. He has also provided consultancy to a host of agencies like the Assam Finance Corporation, govt. and Non-govt. agencies in areas of Systems building, Risk Mitigation, Financial Product Development, Evaluation studies, Rural Livelihoods and Information Technology in Banks.


Neichute Doulo



Neichute Doulo is the CEO of Entrepreneurs Associates, a microfinance firm based in Nagaland. He has been impacting lives with his visionary initiative of transforming the Naga society with a focused approach of unleashing the powers of economic empowerment. An authority in the field of entrepreneurship in Nagaland, he has been shaping the way people view entrepreneurship in the state for the last 16 years. He believes that Nagas will have to change the way they perceive entrepreneurship or be overwhelmed by the tide of economic upheavals that are going to come along with globalization.

His works have been recognized both in the state as well as internationally, being the first Naga recipient of the international Ashoka's Citizen Base Initiative Award, headquartered in Washington D C, USA in 2001. Locally, he is a recognized figure of social reformation being the 5th recipient of the Naga Mothers Association Award in 2003 for developing Entrepreneurship in the state. The Chakhesang Youth Front has also given him a lifetime Achievement Award 2006 for being a Social Entrepreneur and a youth who has immensely contributed to social change in the state.

Neichute Doulo has been providing leadership and guidance to Entrepreneurs Associates in promoting entrepreneurship and self employment by making Micro-finance available for micro enterprises and entrepreneurship to over 4000 youths and livelihood opportunities to about 3200 farmers in Nagaland. His works have now spread to the neighboring state Manipur as well.



Ashok Kumar Meda



Ashok Meda is the CEO of ShriPrabha Global Management Exchange Exim. He has over 2 decades of experience in banking institutions in different countries with assignments such as Vice President - ING Bank, Chief Manager - Syndicate Bank. He has worked extensively in 8 African countries with banking institutions focusing on development banking and financial services for core sectors such as agriculture and power.

He has made tremendous contributions towards poverty reduction, public private partnerships, development banking including conceptualizing Africa-wide Funding Mechanism (3 ADi) - Africa Agribusiness & Agro-Industries Development Investment Fund with UNIDO, in collaboration with Central Bank of Nigeria. He also associated with the Core Working Group of McKinsey & Co (South Africa), Monitor Group (USA & SA) conceptualizing NIRSAL 2012-2016 (Nigerian Incentivized Risk Sharing Agricultural Lending) with Central Bank of Nigeria, Ministry of Agriculture and AGRA(Chairman-Dr Kofi Annan) in evolving the innovative financing mechanism presently launched in Nigeria.

He has had a diverse education with degrees such as BSc(Agri), Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application, Business Administration, Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and Executive education from IIM Bangalore.


Rohan K Abraham



Rohan is currently the President of Pledgeback Advisory Services - A firm he founded building on his lifelong dream to start a social enterprise. He started his career as a Chartered Accountant focusing on Risk Advisory and Operational Consulting. 11 years on, he decided it was time to shift the emphasis from large corporations and businesses to grass root organisations working to improve peoples' lives. In 2011, he started PledgeBack with the intent of assisting other people make such contributions while continuing the normal course of their lives.

Apart from running PledgeBack, Rohan works with many non profit organisations in Southern India helping them improve their effectiveness and spread. He advises the Board of an organisation working to provide marginalised people with access to water, sanitation and energy and is also on the Board of an Australian organisation working to remove energy poverty in India.

Rohan has worked with large accounting firms such as Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton and has experience in consulting with large corporations across the globe.


Hemant Nitturkar

Hemant Nitturkar is an entrepreneur, a business consultant and he is currently the Project Development Officer, India for AVRDC-The World Vegetable Centre, Taiwan. He is a two-time recipient of the Governor's Gold Medal from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad for his academic excellence in Bsc(Agriculture) and Msc(Genetics and Plant Breeding). He holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from Securities Institute of Australia, Sydney and has also received Executive Management Training in Raw Material Procurement for Agro-processing units from IIM, Ahmedabad and the Venture Capitalist Development Programme, ISB, Hyderabad.

Back in 2003 he started Finfocus Pty Ltd. in Sydney, Australia where he provided mortgage advice to his retail clients and capital raising - both equity and debt finance - to his SME clients. After selling his business for profit he migrated to India and set up a world-class financial services firm for GE's Wizard Home Loans.

He was also the CEO of India Development Gateway, a firm that aims to provide an online platform that brings highly investible social enterprises and social investors together. He headed the activities of New Ventures India, which is an initiative of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre, Hyderabad and World Resources Institute (WRI), Washington DC. New Ventures India supports sustainable small businesses by providing mentoring and access to capital and markets.

He was the Co-Founder and Chairman of CARMa Venture Services (I) Private Limited, Hyderabad, which aimed to create a habitat for supporting entrepreneurship, especially the first generation ones and those in smaller towns through capacity building and facilitating access to early stage risk capital. He was selected as one of the 26 Unreasonable Fellows from around the world in Boulder, CO, USA, for entrepreneurial ventures that show potential to impact over a million people in five years' time.
