Richard Belho

Richard is the founder of Zynorique, an architecture firm based in Kohima. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from BMS College, Bangalore in 1999, during the course of which he served as Vice President for NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STUDENTS OF ARCHITECTURE. He has extensive experience in areas such as construction with SMB(Stabilised Mud Blocks), Jack Arched Roofings with Hollow Clay Tiles, RainWater Harvesting System etc. He also worked on areas such as Eco-Friendly Architecture under renowned Architect CHITRA K. VISHWANATH and with firms such as NAMBISAN & ASSOCIATES under Architect ARJUN UNNIKRISHNAN. During the stint with Nambisan, he worked extensively on IT-related constructions and interiors for software firms.

In pursuit of his dreams to return to Nagaland to start something, Richard started ZYNORIQUE (pronounced as zai-no-reek) in April 2002 with Kezhagwetuo (Ato) Peseyie and today it has successfully grown to a strength of 9 Architects and 4 Civil Engineers, 3 interior Designer and they are actively engaged in various Governmental Projects as Architectural Consultants. He also started Zynorique Initiatives which is an offshoot of Zynorique Consultants with an aim to encourage and train the local Naga youth in different skills and Trade ranging from Permaculture, Agroforestry, Organic Farming to Bamboo Crafts, Bamboo Constructions etc.

Abokali Jimomi

Abokali Jimo is the founder of Organic Nagaland - a farmers’ cooperative that focuses on encouraging farmers to adopt sustainable methods of farming and promotes marketing of local farming produce. She holds an MBA – Entrepreneurship from the University of Liverpool. She has over 8 years of corporate work experience having worked as Manager-Operations in Marlabs Software Pvt Ltd and ICICI oneSource in Bangalore. 

Abokali promotes sustainable agriculture and small farmer groups in Nagaland, especially women farmers in the villages of Zunheboto District in Nagaland. She spent several years conducting an in-depth research of the Sumi Traditional Agricultural Cycle which has been compiled into a documentary film called ‘Yenguyelie Qha – The Silent Field’: A Sumi Oral Traditions Documentation Project under the Endangered Languages Development Project, SOAS, London, Sumi Cultural Association, and Firebird Foundation. She is a founding member of Green Club Zunheboto in her home town. The group, formed in 2011, engages youth to take up positive action for environmental issues.

Seyielezo Putsure

Lezo is the founder of Smarter Nagaland and Chief Strategist at Youthnet. He holds an M.B.A from London South Bank University, London and is also a graduate of retail management from IIM-S besides being trained at Harvard Business School. His job experience includes working across Europe as a Management Consultant with firms such as Accenture.

He returned to Nagaland in 2011 to start Nagaland Job Consultants with co-founder Hekani Jakhalu after they realized there was a big gap between employers and employees and a vast untapped talent pool in the youth which needed immediate attention.

Hekani Jakhalu

Hekani Jakhalu is the Founder-Director of YouthNet and a lawyer by profession. She has an LLM degree from the University of San Francisco, and has trained extensively at Harvard University, American University in Washington DC, UN HQ in New York, Amnesty International- San Francisco, Aspen Institute, Italy etc. She has worked both at the Supreme Court of Delhi and Delhi High Court.

In 2006, Hekani quit as a partner of a New Delhi law firm to return home and founded YouthNet with a group of young professionals, believing in the power of ordinary people to make extraordinary change. She is the Past Chair of CII’s Young Indians, Nagaland Chapter. She is also a member of Oxford Women’s Forum on the World Economy. She has been a speaker at various international conferences notably in Egypt, Sweden and Azerbaijan.

Tomtsa Chishi

Tomtsa Chishi is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He also holds a civil engineering degree from Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, Karnataka. In the past he has worked with Civil Aid Technoclinic pvt. Ltd., a Bureau Veritas company as an Engineering Consultant. Till recently he was working with Lenovo India as an Account Manager handling its corporate clients in the east. He joined YouthNet full-time upon learning that the organization shared a common vision to encourage building up of a sustainable private sector in the state.
